Furniturebox for Good

Furniturebox for Good

One of Furniturebox's core values is that everyone should have the right to a safe, affordable and comfortable home, and so supporting local charities working towards those same goals is important to us. We have ongoing relationships with a few community and national charities, and have a regular rotation of other organisations we donate to.

KFR

Furniturebox UK partners with Wiltshire charity KFR by donating furniture for re-sale to low-income families. It’s something we are beyond excited to be part of, as a way to give back to the local community.

PRINCE'S TRUST

International Women’s Day falls on the 8th March. It's a day to celebrate and uplift women everywhere and challenge stereotypes. The #ChangeAGirlsLife campaign will harness the power of International Women’s Day to help young women who are struggling.

FIELD LANE

Field Lane is a national charity making a huge difference to the everyday lives of people. Their fresh approach provides a unique combination of care, accommodation and support for adults with learning disabilities and vulnerable families.

Julia's House

JULIA'S HOUSE

Julia's House, a local South-West charity, provides vital support to families in these challenging situations, from at-home help to hospice-based facilities in Wiltshire and Dorset and out in the community. Their service is totally flexible and bespoke for their families – it is also completely free. They rely on donations to fund this service. Furniturebox has supported Julia’s House through staff charity auctions and fundraising.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance

WILTSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust is a registered charity that provides an essential Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) in Wiltshire, Bath, and surrounding areas. Established in 1990, this lifesaving charity is funded by the public, requiring around £4 million a year to keep the service operational, which equates to approximately £11,000 per day. Furniturebox has supported the Wiltshire Air Ambulance through donations of furniture and staff volunteering their time to help refurb the Trust’s family room, and through fundraising events.

Royal Papworth Hospital

ROYAL PAPWORTH HOSPITAL

Royal Papworth is the UK's largest specialist cardiothoracic hospital and the country's main heart and lung transplant centre treating over 22,400 inpatient and day cases and 48,400 outpatients each year from across the UK. The hospital relies on donations to help improve the hospital environment, provide both state-of-the-art and additional equipment as required, develop new ways of treating cardiothoracic diseases, support and realise the potential in our hospital’s staff, and develop and expand the hospital’s research capability.
